Decorate a book spine!
We are planning to line the school hallways with student-designed book spines of their favorite books! Students will have an opportunity to create these spines during library time and we will also have stacks of them at various other events. Come check out an artistic visual of our collective readers!
Laurelhurst Poetry Box!
Roar for Reading 2025 sponsored a poetry box. Located on the west side of the school it has become a place to pause and savor the inspiring work of our very own students as well as the many poets who inspire us from all over the world. Curated by our very own Connie Lang this poetry box is a true treasure. Many thanks to Aaron Lefitz and David Cooke of Poetryboxes.com for installing it last fall.
